Artist's Bio
About the Artist

Paula Jo Miller is an abstract artist living in beautiful Pagosa Springs, Colorado. She is inspired by her Mother, Great Aunt & Great Grandmother -- women who were recognized for their contributions to art communities. Her work focuses on color, shape and scale. Each painting is intended to change in front of the viewer and open the door for imagination.

In addition to painting, Paula serves as Board Secretary for Pagosa Animal Advocates, Advisory Board Member for Texas Humane Legislation Network, is a member of the Pagosa Springs Art Council, and is training to become a volunteer firefighter with the Pagosa Fire Protection District. She donates a percentage of the sale of her paintings to one of these organizations.

Paula recently retired as President of PMCommunications where she consulted with non-profit organizations to help them achieve their missions. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with degrees in marketing and finance.

Paula and her husband, Lowell Wiles, live in Pagosa Springs with their two rescued akitas, Reba and Zoe.
